Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi (1838 - 1918) - Saibaba is an Indian Spiritual Saint and a Fakir known to have practised Hinduism and Islam and transcended the barriers of religion. His philosophy ingrained 'Shraddha' meaning faith, and 'Saburi' meaning patience, were the supreme attributes to reach the state of Godliness.
Saibaba dedicated his life to ascetic practice and spread love, religious tolerance, and harmony. He did not hesitate to use his miraculous powers to benefit human beings. His life was a perfect embodiment of his teachings, and his actions inspired faith amongst his devotees. Today, Shirdi Sai Baba's image has become the object of worship for millions of devotees worldwide. His wisdom and teachings continue to inspire many onto the path of spirituality.
Sai Baba is also the Guru of my Krsna Guruji's great grandparents - Shri Raghunath Rao Tendulkar and Smt Savitri Raghunath Tendulkar, the ardent devotees of Baba. Three of their stories have been mentioned in the Shri Sai SatCharita.
