How we all can get along on Clubhouse

Can’t we all just get along...??? 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

We all need to learn how to engage in civil discourse. It’s okay- no one taught us how, we all seem to learn by screwing up. So let’s figure out how to do better, and how to understand each other without insult or defensiveness.

We’re going to communally figure out the rules of engagement in society, including understanding:

- microaggressions,
- inadvertent harm,
- insult,
- condescension, and
- defensive rage


This isn’t about blaming any one group, it’s about collectively learning how to

- automatically check for others,
- respectfully disagree,
- acknowledge when we’ve caused harm, and
- apologize and repair without stigma or anger.

If we want to learn, we have to be able to be wrong without leaving, and we have to be able to disagree without defensiveness. Just because we were never taught how to do this doesn’t mean we can’t learn now.

Let’s do better. Let’s be better. ☺️💪
