SCORCH TRIAL RULES
Preliminaries: Open stage where participants can assert their positions challenge anyone to a “dual” where the debater with the weakest argument will be removed from the stage. Any debater who wins 2 rounds can resurrect 1 debater who had been previously been removed from the stage.

Final Bout
🎯3,4, or 6 judges (pre qualified/nominated)
Audience vote hand raising

🎯Each opponent presents their opening arguments

🎯3 rounds for each opponent to rebut arguments

🎯(Wings) Point of interjection (Pi): each debater can select a “wing” to be their fact checker. Each wing will be allowed 2 Pi’s to challenge assertion being made. The debater can choose accept or decline the Pi. The debater declines Pi, they can challenge Pi off the clock. All Pi’s must reference a source.

🎯Each opponent presents their closing arguments
