!!!!WELCOME TO SANGINI BHET!!! Young Nepali women of this generation have unprecedented opportunities and experiences. But these experiences haven’t been unpacked, the stories haven’t been told. We yearn for a feminist community for meaningful conversations. Sangini bhet started in the summer of 2019, with simple conversations. First in New York, then in Washington, D.C., Boston and Phoenix, we began gathering to talk about experiences and issues that matter to us. The very first bhet’s topic was “women who have influenced us.” We talked about our mothers and aunts and unpacked all of the key women in our lives and discovered the similarities and threads that link each of our stories. Since then, we have had many bhets and have covered a vast array of topics.
