The Yoruba are a pride of the black race, we hail from the Western Region of present day Nigeria. From Yoruba creations history, Ile-Ife is the cradle of Yoruba people and considered to be the site of creation of Mother Earth, it is from Ile Ife that civilization arose for the Black race.
The Yoruba are found throughout the world and in large numbers in South Western Nigeria, Brazil, Cuba, Togo, Benin Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Ghana, Haiti, and Jamaica. Yoruba culture, Language, Arts, Religion and Ethos is at the fore front of black civilizations. Despite the “Maafa” of the black race, Yoruba intoxicating culture was resistant to western domination and it survived the transatlantic slave trade and its horrors.
While the Yoruba are so resilient, years of trials and turmoil that have swept their land and dislocated a lot of our people has led to immense socio-cultural erosion and there is an urgent need for renaissance. This club aims to connect Yoruba indigenes and friends both in home and abroad, and it aims to relocate the Yoruba to their inner core of OMOLUABI. This club is powered by OLODUMARE
