Bio
Shawna Jackson is a writer, an actress, and under the handle "Zen and Paper Girl," she is a blogger. She was raised in Los Angeles and is currently based in Houston, Texas, where she graced the stage with AWJ Productions as one of the company's leads for two years. She is also a freelance writer and Interviewer for Heavy Rotation Magazine. Shawna has covered the Red Carpet for Music and Celebrity events with the music mag for over five years, but television and film are her true love.

At 16 years old, Shawna wrote her first screenplay. The screenplay was shared hand-to-hand throughout her all-girls L.A. private school, landing in the lap of a classmate who was the family member of an up-and-coming director who asked if she could pass it on. Shawna was too shy back then to make such a bold move. Then at 25, she took time off to raise her kids with no regrets, but now that the nest is empty, she is free to fly.

She is the spokesperson for a non-profit charity and hosts a podcast, "SWWLS Speak Your Truth," where she shares the stories of survivors of domestic violence. She has recently produced her first television pilot, "Hustle & Heart Breaks," with Director/Creator Tony Patterson and People of Color Films.

To date, she's writing an Adult Fantasy novel with unlimited branding and franchising possibilities, which she will develop into 5 books and a movie trilogy that will transition to the small screen. Additionally, she has 3 feature film ideas in her pipeline.

When asked about her talents, Shawna has said that she believes her vision is intuitive, "I manifest thought, this is my gift and contribution. This is my chosen form of expression, and I have a lot to share. I am here to serve."
