Yusef Ramelize is the Co-founder and chief operations officer of Hyphens and Spaces, a diversity, equity, and inclusion company for organizations committed to furthering social causes and the public good.
Yusef’s passion to make resources more accessible stems from his understanding of the power of information as a tool for equity. He is a compassionate, emotionally intelligent leader, who is constantly willing to learn and grow. Yusef brings that growth mindset to his work with clients and organizations, prioritizing partnership and clear outcomes.
Yusef is also the founder and project director of Homeless For One Week, an initiative that raises awareness about homelessness in NYC. The project was featured in New York Daily News, New York Post, Newsday, Huffington Post and many more Media outlets. He was honored by the Manhattan Borough President with a Proclamation as “Artist and Activist against Homelessness”.
He is an award-winning visual designer who holds an Executive Masters of Science (MS) in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Electronic Design & Multimedia from The City College of New York.
