Rey is an independent artist based in the DMV (Washington, DC) that creates, produces and engineers all his own music. He is inspired by Hip-Hop/R&B, Classical, Bachata, Afro-Beats and Dancehall. Artists of influence include Michael Jackson, Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Ramin Djawadi, Hans Zimmer, Burna Boy, Romeo Santos and Lil Wayne.
Born in Panama but raised in America, Rey has a culturally mixed background that has influenced both his style and passion for music. He started engineering vocals at the age of twelve and developed his own beats by age fourteen. His music exerts a soulful sound with authentic lyrics that discuss life’s challenges with sincerity.
Rey plans to release his debut album in 2021.
