Joined Mitsubishi Bank (currently MUFG Bank) in 1981, and has been in charge of finance for non-Japanese companies at the London branch since 1988. In the 90's he worked as a coordinator on behalf of the participating banks on numerous private corporate restructuring projects in the UK and the European continent. In 1994, he was invited as the only member of a Japanese bank to the "London Approach (Private Arrangement Guidelines, predecessor of INSOL) Working Group" by the Central Bank of the United Kingdom. In 1996, he was the project head of the planning department for advanced banking management. Since 1998, as Deputy General Manager of Investment Banking Planning Office, established Mitsubishi Securities through merger and affiliated company of international securities, business tie-up with Lehman Brothers, establishment of online securities, establishment of private equity fund, establishment of global system of investment banking business.
In 2002 he founded Phoenix Capital and became CEO. In October 2006 he became the representative of New Horizon Capital. During this period, eight private equity funds (a total of about 260 billion yen) were formed, including the corporate revitalization fund "Japan Recovery Fund" (fund size is 20 billion yen) funded by domestic institutional investors. We are involved in the revitalization and growth of many companies in the distribution, construction, and manufacturing industries, such as Tokyu Construction, Fudo Construction, Mitsubishi Motors, Gold Pack, TEAC, Sokia, Hitachi House Tech, Tachiklchi and Showa Corporation. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tokyo and completed the Graduate School of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Chicago.
