Bio

William Cumby is the Minister of Youth for The Fountain of Praise, a 25,000 member non-denominational church in southwest Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of the DEVOS urban leadership initiative and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Oral Roberts University. William has served in youth ministry for over 15 years and led several youth crusades to Colombia and Brazil.

In addition to his responsibilities at The Fountain of Praise, William is an active volunteer in several school districts with VIPS, YoungLife, 5Star, Real Men Read, and serves as a varsity football chaplain in the Fort Bend Independent School District. William is a published author and Certified Personal trainer. He has served as a board member for the West Orem YMCA as well as Suits for Sons. Annually, William leads a camp for inner-city boys called Manhood Camp Houston and a helps lead an annual conference for Urban Youth Leaders. William is a national youth conference speaker as well as a youth ministry curriculum author.

February 20, 2018, William was awarded his own day in Houston, TX – The fourth largest city in the United States.

William is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and is married to Ebony Cumby. Together they have three children, William II, Dylan, and Grace.
