Part 1
Andrew spent the first chapter of his career travelling the world for networks, (Discovery, Travel, History, Nat Geo, CNN, and NGO’s), producing, directing and shooting over 500 hours of television. From the middle of the ocean on a sixty-foot racing yacht to the immediate aftermath of the Haitian earthquake, throughout his career, Andrew has worked in challenging and unpredictable conditions, building the experience and quick thinking needed to keep rolling when you simply must get the shot. Andrew is skilled at crafting story and capturing the performances required to deliver engaging and authentic experiences. Andrew's series "Ed's Up", a host driven show that featured Ed Robertson of BNL exploring hard jobs around the world was nominated for a Gemini (CSA) in 2010.
Part 2
A serial innovator throughout his career, Andrew has always been the first to bring new camera or technology to set. This led him to co-found Cream Productions digital department with Cream CEO David Brady in 2015. This venture has grown from one person incubator to an award-winning full XR production department. Cream has created over 20 pieces of original XR content including 360 3D series, AR apps, and interactive volumetric VR, for networks, studios, agencies, and brands. Many of these pieces have been invited to show at festivals including Cannes, Sundance, and SXSW. Andrew’s piece "A Curious Mind" recently won a W3 GOLD 2018 award and a (CSA) Canadian Screen Award 2019. Andrew has become well versed in concept definition, interactive UX design, directing motion capture, game development, and innovation of XR production workflows. Andrew is directing a digital-humans applied research project at Sheridan’s screen industries research and technology (SIRT) centre and is listed as an inventor on two international patent applications. Andrew has also raised over $4m in investment and fostered relationships with industry leaders like HTC, Oculus, Dell, Microsoft, Adobe.
