Wes Unruh (@wesunruh) has been gradually moving east since being born in Twin Falls, Idaho, having lived in Colorado, Kansas, Ohio, New York, and now Georgia. From 2014 through 2020 he served as webmaster and media producer for the Peabody Awards while also moonlighting as a social media consultant. Additionally, he is an adoptee, spending 23 years engaged in searching for his biological mother and father. He began blogging in 2002, and has been active online in some form since the days of dial-up as part of this search process. His hobbies include creating music, art, food and sculpture, and he has published numerous poems, stories, and non-fiction essays over the years. He co-authored the chaos magic-inspired book “The Art of Memetics” with Edward Wilson in 2008, and released it at Esozone that year. His furry feline co-workers through the pandemic include Queen Ninja, guardian of the house, Col. Qibli, who's secretly a puppy (and eats like it), and Ms. Cricket, who has become increasingly obsessed with bathroom fixtures.
