————————
I’m a Toronto-based producer, and content strategist, with over 10 years of experience in film and branded content development. My work has been recognized by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, SXSW, Cannes Lions, and more.
Since founding my boutique content studio (Canova Media) in 2012, I have led content marketing campaigns for some of the world’s most influential brands - a list that includes Pepsi, Xbox, Virgin Mobile, Goodlife Fitness, Hodinkee, Tim Hortons, Air Miles, Aol, and recently Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s new Cannabis brand, Houseplant.
In 2015, I served as executive producer at Notch Video (acquired since by MSLGROUP), where I helped oversee production, and led several large-scale social media campaigns for notable lifestyle, sporting, and technology brands.
Before jumping into the world of brand storytelling, I began my career in the film and television industry, working in development under the late Academy Award-nominated producer, William Vince (Capote, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Saved!). During this time, I gained foundational experience in both the art and business of storytelling. Moving into a producer role myself in the years following, I helmed several short films which have screened at festivals such as the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), SXSW, Palm Springs Shortfest, AFI Fest, and on Canada's national broadcaster, CBC.
I’m a graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory, where I received a Student Emmy Award for my thesis film, Clear Blue - a fantastical love story that, in collaboration with a crew of over 100 filmmakers, used technically innovative techniques to shoot full dramatic scenes underwater. Clear Blue screened at 20+ film festivals around the world, and earned several awards for the team along the way. The film is now available on iTunes.
