Walpole has more than 270 member brands, from Alexander McQueen and Burberry to Maclaren & Rolls Royce, Harrods, FarFetch & Net a Porter to The Savoy and Wedgwood.
Walpole also runs Brands of Tomorrow, a flagship development programme for fledgling luxury brands: every year we select 12 new British businesses to work with to help them get to their next stage. Brands like Bremont watches, Nyetimber, Emilia Wickstead & Orlebar Brown started their journey as a Walpole Brand of Tomorrow.
Walpole launched The British Luxury Sustainability Manifesto in January 2020, with the goal of making British luxury the global benchmark for luxury sustainability - our beliefs is that luxury isn’t luxury without a clean conscience & sustainability is as important a signature of luxury as craftsmanship, provenance and quality.
I’m here to share the British luxury story, to talk about how we are working on our sustainability mission, and to discuss what I’ve learned about the business of luxury since becoming Walpole’s Chief Executive in 2017.
