I am a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician and work as medical director and as a full time hospitalist. I have entrepreneurial experience with start ups, have an interest in healthcare IT, quality and safety.

I fundamentally believe that quality healthcare is a human right. I am committed to ensuring quality care, and fighting for health equity and justice for patients around the world.

Since finishing my internal medicine residency at New York University, I've had the honor of working at UCSF, Brigham and Women's Hospital (Harvard), Mount Sinai Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center and Jefferson Health New Jersey. I’ve also worked overseas in Haiti with Partners In Health as part of the UCSF Global Health Hospital Medicine Fellowship, and additionally in rural Nepal with Possible Health at a Senior Clinical Advisor.

My interests include quality improvement, patient safety, and harnessing healthcare IT to ensure workflow optimization for healthcare professionals and in reducing medical errors.

My entrepreneurial pursuits led me to cofound a venture backed startup focused on optimizing communication within the healthcare team (Sutro Health). I’ve also served previously as the CEO of Medofi Inc, a startup that reduces healthcare professional burnout and optimized the tracking of critical messages from administration to their staff.
