Vasamsi jirnani yatha vihaya
navani grhnati naro ’parani
tatha sarirani vihaya jirnany
anyani samyati navani dehi"
-Bhagwat Gita: Chapter 2 verse 22-
Basically Sri Krishna said:
As a human being puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones.
In search of a beginning,
you must de novo.

अक्रोधेन जयेत्क्रोधमसाधुं साधुना जयेत् ।
जयेत्कदर्यं दानेन जयेत्सत्येन चानृतम् ॥
Anger must be conquered by forgiveness; and the wicked must be conquered by honesty; the miser must be conquered by liberality, and falsehood must be conquered by truth.
-Mahabharata 5‧39:73-
——————————————
Mrityuscha amritamcha iva
Dvayam dehe pratishthitam
Mrityur apadyate mohat
Satyen apadyate amritam
Here the word Death (Mrityu) implies any type of limitedness, and Immortality implies the lack of any limitations.
The word Desire (Moha) implies a state of being tied or attracted to the world that surrounds us physically. The word Truth (Satya) implies that which is the eternal reality, the Numinous.
A state of attachment to the physical world brings on limitation and death. Association with that which is the eternal truth and the ground of all Being removes limitation.
Death and Immortality
Both reside in the body
Death arises out of Desire
Immortality, out of Truth.
