Photography is a matter of identity. Art is borderless. I work in the field of portraiture, with a predilection for self-portraiture. My language rotates toward the exploration of self and the surrounding spaces, the delineation and dissolution of the human being’s boundaries. I often say my works speak on a very intimate level, which can be unsettling, and at the same time they leave a lot of space for silence, which creates distance. Ambiguity is always present, and it’s the ground where I explore the unconscious and the oniric.
