Bio

Virgil Haden-Pawlowski has nearly a decade of international leadership experience in the development and humanitarian sector in the Middle East and Asia where he has worked with diverse stakeholders delivering health, education, and social service programmes; authored multi-country comparative policy studies; and been licensed as a Project Management Professional.

He leads work on digital transformation and analytics systems in large multinational organizations and data protection in the humanitarian sector, including authoring courses and supporting negotiations for the first global humanitarian data protection standards with the IASC.

He has published articles with think tanks and in peer-reviewed journals on the regulatory, ethical, and security challenges posed by new digital and AI technology. He currently oversees a large-scale population-based study on mitigating digital threats to children.

Virgil has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Development and a Master’s degree in International Public Policy and elementary (A level) second language abilities in French, Turkish, and Polish.
