I am a grassroots nonprofit organizer form the South working nationally, with over 10 years of experience developing innovative community engagement initiatives, creating safe-spaces, and mobilizing minority LGBT+ individuals. Most recently he’s worked with Immigrant Voters Win Super PAC, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, The State of Texas Juvenile Justice System, The United Way, Houston Health Department, Morehouse College, AIDS Foundation Houston, UT- AustinHealth Innovation and Education Team, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Impulse Group Houston, Emory University, End The Epidemic, Planned Parenthood Federation of America and The AHF Super Advocacy Group of Houston, TX.

Verniss has become heavily involved in Houston’s minority and LGBT+ communities to advocate for better resources, equal rights, and educational advancement. Through programs like The Trans Empowerment and Alliance Party, he even developed a book of short stories entitled,“Dear Somebody: The Voices Once Unheard,” to provide the minority LGBT+ narrative and The Dr. W.C. Law Community Advocacy.
