Unicorn is the world leader in mushroom growing equipment, our filters can get down to 0.2 microns, which is approximately 30% smaller than the smallest observed contaminant.

We make all our bags and filters in-house using strict quality control standards. Each batch has samples taken at random intervals; these are cooked at 15psi for 90 minutes then filled with air and impulse sealed. If they can't withstand a pneumatic press at 200psi, the entire production run is discarded.

In 2002 we came out with biodegradable bags. These contain an additive that allows polypropylene to be digested by anaerobic bacteria. The bio plastic also breaks down with exposure to UV and oxygen, allowing for rapid absorption directly into the soil biome. In ideal conditions, a bag can be completely digested in under a year.

The one drawback of biodegradable bags is that they begin breaking down before they even roll off the assembly line, so rapid use is a must.
