The modern era of music has given way to enigmas and artists of all shapes and forms who break the norm of what we have come to expect as far as what an artist truly is. Tweezy G is one such artist that epitomises the essence of the modern era. He is a multi-talented vocalist and rapper born and raised in Albany NY. Tweezy G is making music that is driven by a desire to motivate, inspire, comfort and spread love and joy to all those that hear it.
Born Marcel DaQuan Bullock, he is the encapsulation of tenacity, perseverance and overcoming adversity! He was raised by a single mother and as a troubled kid he got kicked out of high school and later got his GED. Tweez is also the survivor of 2 gunshot wounds, one in 2007 and the other in 2020. The former left him with severe nerve damage and in a partially paraplegic state. After years of hard work, he can finally walk again. Tweezy G is the embodiment of originality and uses his experiences and musical acumen to create an amalgamated and original sound. Tweezy G has had a vast array of musical influences however he accredits the pivotal influence and inspiration in his life to his childhood friend LG who inspired him to do music. This all culminates in Tweezy G producing a musical experience that is enjoyable, easy going but also authentic and grounded in reality. It is music that is relatable to people and infused with positive energy to allow for an immersive experience that brings feelings of elation and happiness. His overarching ambition is to make it out of the hood and come back to fix it. He just wants to tell his story through his music and to create something that's different unique and memorable.
Tweezy G has multiple projects in his repertoire. He will be releasing his latest album dubbed “MDB” that will showcase his lyricism in a uniquely constructed piece of musical artistry. He will be releasing “Dance Again” as the lead single to this emotive body of work. His sound exhibits his versatility and prowess and will surely cement his style as well as pave the way for the varied expressions of his musical ideas and artistic craft. This is the music that will push the boundaries of our perception as well as inspire and drive us to introspective conversations.
