My name is Tamisha Steele. I have been in real estate as a full time agent for 3 years. I started my journey to become a real estate agent in 2006 while working as a tax examiner for the United States department of the Treasury. I found interest in real estate in middle school. I was given the opportunity to ride along and do a property search with a friend's mom. I so admired everything about her and watching her conduct business, I fell in love right then and there with the business and wanted to wear her shoes LITERALLY, lol. I watched her and her husband provide an atmosphere for their family where there was free time to do what her children wanted and money to buy them whatever they wanted. As a 13 year old, I wanted that. However, I became a tax examiner and it provided me the money I wanted but I started to notice that it did not provide me the free time I wanted and year after year I found that I had less peace of mind. I loved my job with the treasury because I provided help to a lot of people. Somehow, I rekindled my love for real estate and went on a journey to be that woman I admired in my childhood. I guess you could say, I found my purpose. That purpose was to provide service to people through real estate that would create wealth within their families, provide myself with financial wellness, and a since that I control my time. I walked away from a federal job after 15 years of service to start my journey in real estate. Now, I have realized my dream and stepped into my childhood dream all while helping others and their loved ones realize their dreams of homeownership.
