As a former National Recovery Advocate + Speaker, I was afforded incredible opportunity to share the mic at prestigious conferences with NAADAC, CADCA, ASAM, NEIAS, and FEMA talking about building recovery communities, young people in recovery, and #mentalhealth advocacy.

In 2018, I stepped off the big stages for a year to explore 🌎 the world + give myself a much needed #mentalhealth break. And then in 2019, exactly one year before and having no idea what was coming with the COVID crash, launched a travel planning biz. 🤷🏻‍♀️

They say “timing is everything”.
Ahem...

My new travel biz experienced incredible first-year success and tracked to sell $1M in travel. All systems go! And in an instant, it all crumbled 💔 Devastating was an understatement.

But with every challenge, comes incredible opportunity. If, you’re willing to find it.

The opportunity 2020 presented, however wildly unexpected, proved to be unequivocally better. I deployed my own teachings in “cultivating community connections” to help others and their businesses thrive in what was complete chaos while our industry waited (in some cases, still waiting) to return to travel.

Bonus! I personally connected with two 🧚🏽‍♂️🧚🏼‍♀️ travel business #bossbabes over 🥃 drinks and we are now building tech to solve a shared problem! 👊
