My name is Tracey Amadi, and I am a dialysis patient for the second time. I was on dialysis for five years from 2008 to 2013. My son and I participated in the Living Kidney Exchange Program in 2013 and were “dialysis free” for seven years, but as time progressed, the kidney disease started to attack the transplanted kidney but was holding on. Unfortunately, In 2020, I had emergency surgery which knocked out the remaining kidney function, and I am now back on dialysis.
I was fortunate to be the first person in the U.S to take Tablo Home Hemo Dialysis
In my Clubhouse, I will be discussing the difference between In-Center Dialysis and at Home with Tablo, Kidney Health Awareness and my journey of living a fulfilled life in spite of dialysis. A conversation of hope and inspiration
