It's an epidemic! We're all using our voices now more than ever to get our points across and communicate with the world around us. But with excessive vocal usage come many challenges that most speaking professionals oftentimes aren't aware of—until the warning signs begin to take over and force them to make drastic changes. Many of us unknowingly mimic vocal trends and struggle with authentic vocal identity as well as overuse the voice and put unnecessary strain on the vocal cords because of a lack of understanding about vocal hygiene and breath management.

Amy lives in Kansas City, Missouri by way of Austin, TX and Vienna, Austria with her husband, Thomas, their 3 kids and a cockapoo. She studied Music Education at UMKC Conservatory of Music in Kansas City and later obtained her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Texas in San Antonio under the instruction of Vocal Researcher, Prof. John Nix, with whom she co-wrote two research articles about the voice.
She loves singing any genre of music, but gravitates toward classical music and gospel hymns. She prefers German Lieder and loves poetry by Goethe and Rilke.
