Joy Green’s story has been unfolding for some time now throughout the extraordinary life experiences she’s had. Joy is a survivor of abuse, depression, and attempted suicide. Through meditation, yogic science, and Ayurveda, a natural system of medicine, she was able to overcome many of these deep and hidden traumas experienced from years of victimization and self-destructive behavior. Today, Joy practices as a Spiritual Coach and Transformational Speaker, successfully influencing others on a path to better self-care, mental health awareness, and spirituality, for over 7 years now.

Joy’s passion for serving her community and healthy living led her to volunteer in the Asics half marathon raising money for The Fulfillment Fund; A non-profit organization in Los Angeles working to make college a reality for students growing up educationally and economically under-resourced communities. She continued to participate in future Asics half marathons, and in 2014 decided to become a student mentor through the Fulfillment Fund program. Giselle: 14, extremely shy, in 9th grade. She was the first student introduced to Joy. Over the years, Giselle and Joy have remained dear friends through many ups and downs; Joy’s divorce, Giselle’s parents’ divorce, school graduations, birthdays, losses of loved ones, 12th grade Decision Day celebration, Giselle’s first job, and much other life-changing events…with so many more to come.

Joy’s story continues to unfold on the entrepreneurial front, being published as a co-author in the International Best Seller, Your Voice Matters. Her first published book, making it to the Best Seller list in 8 U.S. categories, including African American History. She is in the process of writing her first edition in the book series, The Joy I’ve Found; her life’s story of hardship, teen pregnancy, alcohol abuse, attempted suicide, prostitution, survival, and transformation, is meant to inspire others to push beyond the challenges of everyday life, find their inner voice, beauty and joy within.

Her vivid soul is a beacon of light that allows Joy to connect with strangers and loved ones alike. Remaining open to adding her genius, love, and wisdom to every aspect of her life will ensure she reaches others in this life and beyond.
