Currently, I coach leaders at a tech start-up. I've traveled the US and abroad training, lecturing, and facilitating conversations on equity, bias, inclusion, diversity, and belonging. I am an expert in dehumanization, trauma, and systemic oppression. My book, “Understanding The Black Flame and Multigenerational Education Trauma: Toward a Theory of the Dehumanization of Black Students,” was published in 2014--the culmination of my doctoral studies.

I've been a coach much of my career. Before coaching leaders at Noom and in my business, I coached hundreds of people looking to change their lives for the better. I've recently launched a leadership development, training, and coaching company--Pineapple Lampshade. We're currently offering a 12-week leadership intensive for leaders who are striving to make an impact and leave a legacy.

I live in MISSOURI (because it matters) with my wonder dog, Zen. I also care for my best friend and mother who lives with dementia.
