I'm Nichole. Recently, I stumbled across a LinkedIn learning database offered by my company, and it opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me. At my previous employer, I had a brief introduction to SQL, which piqued my interest in data science. Eager to dive deeper, I decided to take a SQL for beginners course on the platform.

As I delved into the course, I quickly realized that to truly succeed in data science, I needed to start from the beginning and understand the fundamentals of data. Coming from a background in business operations and management, I am fascinated by the many ways data can be applied and utilized. The potential pathways and opportunities that data science offers are truly exciting to me.

However, self-learning has presented its own set of challenges. Without a structured learning environment, I often find myself jumping around and feeling overwhelmed by the vast amount of information available. That's why I am now on a mission to find a community that can provide mentorship and guidance, helping me navigate this exciting field.

My ultimate goal is to leverage data science to open up new career possibilities, whether it's within my current employer or in a completely different industry. I am actively exploring different learning options, including self-learning, boot camps, and even enrolling in a college program. I want to determine the best approach that will equip me with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of data science.
