I see the importance of giving all birthing people a fair chance at the birth they desire. Sankofa is a traditional African concept that translates to "Go back and get it “, we all need to return to our roots, to reclaim the wisdom of our ancestors , to educate, inform & share knowledge to the birthing people in our diverse communities.
Cofounder of Birth in Color RVA, which is a birth, policy, and advocacy collective focused on providing culturally-centered support to pregnant families and the birth community in RVA. 

Maternal justice to food justice; by increasing access to healthy foods for expecting mothers through collaborative programs at urban greenspaces throughout the Richmond Va Region.

She is the creator of the Diverse CSA , which provides free fresh fruits, veggies and goods for expectant families around richmond through a “buy one donate one” system.

Garden manager of Broad Rock Community Garden in the heart of the 8th district and Stockton Community Garden, which places an emphasis on Maternal health.
