Tess La Bella is a SAG-AFTRA award-winning voice-over artist, actor, comic, producer and creator of original characters Selma Blingowitz and the animated Aunt Marion.
Though live theater and storytelling, Tess combined her love of animation voice-over with her passion for children’s literacy. She’s engaged children by personifying everyone from Mrs. Claus to the big bad wolf and has co-authored a children’s picture book (Merry Witchmas, 2021, BMK).
A career highlight for Tess includes her role in the critically acclaimed short film, “Who is Lou Gehrig?,” which raised awareness about the mental and physical struggles of ALS. Tess lends her voice to non-profits such as Legend’s Radio and has served two terms as a Miami SAG-AFTRA board member and convention delegate.
As a Jersey Italian, Tess never met a meatball she didn’t like. While she’s cooked alongside international chefs, Nonnie, as she is known by her grandchildren, is famous for her white pasta fagioli.
Tess resides in South Florida, with her beloved husband Dr. Freddi Lovitz, where she’s been recognized for her talents and service to the community by Women in the Arts Miami and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County.
