My name is Terrence "Major Tone Music" Prather and I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia.

My love for music started very young at the age of 2. That was the age I picked up my first pair of drum sticks. Every since then I loved music and loved being around it. I played the snare drum in middle school band and high school band. After high school, I joined the United States Marine Corps and left music alone. It wasn't until I was stationed in Japan when I started producing and making music. During that time frame I was busy with the military that I still didn't put much effort into making music consistently. Now it's 2021 and I've consistently put out music and instrumental albums since the COVID-19 Pandemic. There are a lot of music producers/beat makers out there and it's difficult at times to set yourself apart from so many but there are some. The few things that I think sets me apart from the others is that I don't want to just focus on working with artists, but I also want to pitch my music for sync licensing and get into gaming. There's a huge market for music and for me instead of thinking outside the box, I just decided to remove the box all together.

So what's next for Major Tone Music? There are more instrumental albums that will be released. There's also some merchandise that will be coming soon. The goal is to continue to grow musically and to provide everyone with a great catalog of music to also purchase and use in their own projects.
