Dr. Teddy Alexis Rodriguez was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Teddy attended the Bellas Artes (Fine Arts) High School of Ponce, Puerto Rico. Eventually, Rodriguez attended the University of Puerto Rico where he studied Theatre Arts and Theatre Education. Later, he obtained his doctorate in Fine Arts in Theatre with an emphasis in Directing/Acting. Most recently, he directed and wrote the piece How did Edward Lose His Accent? which advanced to semi-finals in the Short+Sweet, Hollywood LGBT Festival and it was awarded the Crew Award. Currently, his short film “Hell No” is in Festivals and has won IndieFest Award for Best Latinx Short Film and was nominated for Best First Time Director at the Canadian Cinematography Awards.
