Tash Hagz is the performance name for Birmingham UK based musician, Mike Shields. Describing himself as a singer-songwriter enthusiast, his spare time is spent in his home studio crafting modern alternative rock music.

Earlier in life he succumbed to a nine to five non-musical career, gaining three academic degrees on the way.

But music is in his heart and influenced by the Beatles and the great 90s British indie bands such as Supergrass, Pulp, Oasis and Ocean Colour Scene, it is perhaps unsurprising that he has been described in some corners as ‘Modern Brit-Pop’.

His debut single was released in 2020 to critical acclaim.

When he’s not at his day job or in his studio he is an adoptive dad, the family cook and a lucid dreamer.
