✨Your Mommy BFF✨ Tamiya Griffin Is the founder of The Motherhood Academy, a NJ Nonprofit. The mission of TMA is to provide mothers with social, emotional, and mental support throughout all stages of their pregnancy, postpartum period, and transition into motherhood.

The Motherhood Academy currently offers a Motherhood 101 group education program as well as a 1:1 postpartum mentorship program. TMA also has a podcast series—-Moming w/Miya and is currently in the ending episodes of a Pregnancy and Parenting series where guests speakers such as doulas, lactation consultants, OBGYNs, NICU nurses, PPD Therapists, and more have joined to platform to educate and inform!

Tamiya graduated from The University of Maryland, College Park with her bachelors in Family Science and Human Development. She is a trained birth and postpartum doula, breastfeeding peer counselor, and a pregnancy and infant loss advocate. She also has an array of training in topics such as Trauma Informed Care, Social Emotional Learning, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Domestic Violence Advocate, and more! Tamiya is currently keeping busy expanding her education, skills and certifications...next up Childbirth Educator...as well as caring for her husband and their 4 kids, 3 sons and a daughter 9 and under.
