Bio

HHMI evolutionary biologist, Taiji practitioner, traveler

I study the innovation of evolutionary novelties using organoids (miniature versions of organs), finite element analysis, and theoretical work. Currently focused on snake venom.

I practice Chen Taiji for my own physical and mental health. I’ve been lucky enough to be taught by Master Yang, who learned closely from Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang. I love teaching Taiji, learning myself while teaching and sharing it with others so it can help them the same way it’s helped me.

I currently live in Maryland, USA, but I’ve also lived in Europe and traveled all over the world. From New Zealand to the Netherlands to Brazil, I love visiting new places, hearing stories of the people there, and sharing cultures.
