Steven Stralser is Emeritus Professor at Thunderbird School of Global Management and Founding Academic Director, Project Artemis (http://bit.ly/14iozII) that trained, educated and mentored women from emerging and re-emerging countries in entrepreneurship and was a Fulbright Senior Scholar at The Budapest University of Economic Sciences.
Stralser has been involved as investor, advisor, board member, mentor and founders’ executive coach in multiple entrepreneurial endeavors and served as a mentor and reviewer of commercialization plans of NSF grantees as a continuation of his Ph.D. research focused on tech transfer and commercialization of university research.
Dr. Stralser is an investor and commercialization advisor to Saccadous, Inc. (www.Saccadous.com) that’s commercializing a portfolio of IP and patents from Barrow Neurological Institute for a promising approach for neurological assessment.
Stralser is on the Board of www.flexxcoach.com that’s applying e-learning technology to ice hockey player development and coaching education, now bringing virtual reality into its innovation pipeline, garnering interest of major hockey equipment brands as well as the NHL.
Other board service is for Daily Dose, a mobile app designed to support clients of addiction rehabilitation programs to sustain sobriety during the difficult period after completion of their recovery program.
Dr. Stralser is the founder of The Center for Professional Development, Inc. developer of training and executive education programs (“MBA in a DAY®”) targeted to professionals, e.g., physicians, attorneys, architects, dentists, and non profit executives who are well trained in their professions, but who often face challenges with the “business” issues facing their practices and organizations.
Dr. Stralser’s book MBA in a DAY: What you would learn at top-tier business schools—if only you had the time was published in John Wiley & Sons and translated in seven languages for worldwide distribution.
Dr. Stralser received a Ph.D. from The University of Michigan a BS in Marketing from The University of Arizona and an MBA from Arizona State University.
In his spare time, Stralser plays left defense on his ice hockey team, is restoring a 1951 Riley RMB 2.5L Saloon and serves on non profit boards of The Mens Arts Council of the Phoenix Art Museum and Whispering Hope Ranch Foundation.
