My name's Ash, and I am currently the Founder of New Founder Hacks and Digital Focus Creatives.

20 years ago I graduated as a media communications student and specialized in scriptwriting for film, TV, and radio. I started working as a TV media sales exec in London, UK, and then into the world of digital marketing. Storytelling for business became part of my life vs storytelling for entertainment.

In 2009 however, I became jobless from a high-paying job during the last global recession. I was recently married at the time, with a one-year-old daughter, and things began to look a little desperate.

But instead of putting my future in someone else's hands, I decided to set up my own business. It wasn't easy, there were many dips, financial and emotional challenges along the way. But I persevered.

And I'm glad I did.

I have grown that business to what it is today, - and with a small team, I serve clients in the US, UK, Switzerland, and parts of Asia.

But recently I got called out.

Called out for not practicing what I preach. That is, telling my story and leveraging that to build an audience. My clients were right. So the challenge was accepted.

I decided to focus on one platform - Linkedin - And in just over 11 months;

- I've got close to 7M views for my content.
- Increased my audience of engaged followers, (under 1000 when I first started).
- Won new business.
- Launched a digital program.
- Helped others do the same.
