From 2011-2017, I lived across 25 cities without an apartment, offering free petsitting / apartment sitting every night to find out where I live next. I reduced my total life expenses to ~$6,000/year, and focused on building out creative vehicles for social capital. My preferred forms of social currency revolve around deep listening, dating advice, heart-to-hearts, dinner gatherings, fortuitous matchmaking, and creating/hosting interesting groups and events.
