Speaks on social issues...especially Kashmiri peoples social issues. GOLD is our great Player to get any choice in our society.Demanded Gold Jewellery from groom as Mehr. Demanded Dowry from bride.Never gift any kind of gold jewellery to bride, & never expect any kind of gold gift from their parents.
Just mehr as per sura Nissa - ayat# 3 and ayat# 4.
No one can demand mehr from groom, it is his will.
Yes bride and their parents has right to accept it or search for another.
My suggestion is cancel Kashmiri Ritual ( nishan) where our sisters are waiting gold jewellery from inlaws.
There is no industrialists in Kashmir, we have only employee class here..
22 deptts have 22 director's, 22 deputy directors.. rest are class 3rd, class 4th, dailywagers, contractuals.
We have brahmin or hindu culture in Kashmir, gifting gold jewellery from both sides.
I advised General Public, never gift any kind of gold jewellery to bride.. which you people buy from loan money, gifts from relatives and friends.
Gift what you actually have, Never do POP & show... we all know that you are class 4th or shopkeeper in srinagar.
No one in Kashmir is industrialist rich man.
Yes As a Kashmiri- you people gift gold jewellery to bride to get more gold from their parents- but today is digital world. They people did not gift you vice versa, They people converted whole into mehr- which is very good punishment for those people who gifted gold jewellery worth lacs... and never think poor boys who are salesman, private employee, driver, class 4th, jr Assistant.
It is requested to molvies, where they saw illegal gold jewellery worth lacs- convert into mehr, so that Kashmiri boys and their parents get lesson not to gift gold jewellery to his daughter in law.
Prophet Muhammad (PUBH) about his prospect of marriage, and that he was so poor that he had nothing to give as MEHR. When asked by the Prophet whether he even had an " IRON RING" , the companion replied in negation. Then, the Prophet Muhammad ( PUBH) asked him if has memorized some portion of quran, to which the companion replied in affirmation. The Prophet then ordained him to go and help his wife get that portion of the quran memorized, and that would suffice as the Mehr for him. This incident shows the sheer simplicity of a marriage contract, and that if means do not permit for a grand Mehr or a lavish ceremony, it can be nonetheless carried out without any hassles.
Islam has indeed granted permission of MEHR with no limits.
