Rapper, singer, songwriter and producer SouLah (the Legend) Belle showed musical talent as a child, but first gained notoriety as a speaker, author and radio host under the moniker Dr. Intimacy. Regardless of her success, she felt stripped of her true identity and secretly struggled with suicide. After years of feeling hopeless, SouLah went to music school. Although still a student, creating her self-produced spoken word album was the first time she felt “authentic”. Her thoughts about entering the music industry are, “It takes more than talent to transform a life. People are empty, lost and confused about their existence." Having walked through extreme challenges, SouLah has the depth, character and life experience to be a relevant voice that leads people to purpose. As an artist SouLah the Legend defies agism, sexism and even “genre-ism”. She says that "music is the universal language of the soul" that allows her to be a light and help others cultivate a life of significance.
