I’m a U.K. based physician and academic researcher. I qualified as a doctor in the last year of the 20th century and I’ve been working in rheumatology since 2004.
Rheumatologists treat autoimmune conditions that also affect the joints, like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, myositis and many others. My own special interest is two closely-linked conditions that have historically been neglected and poorly understood: giant cell arteritis and polymyalgia rheumatica.
My aim is to improve patient outcomes by means of scientific discovery, collaboration, and implementing system change to deliver best care.
