Author Shoney K resides in Chicago, a city notoriously infamous for death, despair, and high crime. Despite the odds stacked against her, Shoney vowed not to become a product of her environment by choosing to become the creator of the product in her environment.
During her earlier years, Shoney K discovered her niche for writing upon having her short stories published in the local school newspaper. Unaware of her gift, Shoney shelved her pen until later being introduced to Urban Fiction.
With her then, new found love for literature capturing her attention, Shoney K composed her debut novel, For the Love of Money in 2012. As she mastered her niche, she continued her literary journey by releasing a collaborative, The Loyal Ones, followed up by the highly anticipated Riding Dirty 1 and 2, Fuck Love; I Didn't Sign Up for This and Addicted To A Street Hitta.
