Bio

Abdelghany shoair is an Egyptian calligrapher. He started to learn calligraphy at the age of 13. For the last 20 years the main focus of Shoair was to develop modern styles for Arabic calligraphy and apply them on all creative fields such as logos, posters, TV Ads, Book covers, Movie Titles and more. He worked with many global brands/institutions such as ICRC, CIB ,Etisalat, We, STC and many ministries in Dubai, KSA and others. Shoair is interested in spreading the Arabic calligraphy culture throw giving workshops. He did over 20 workshops in different types of calligraphy and lately he started to move the workshops online on Almentor platform. Shoair is Focusing on spreading the awareness around the Arabic calligraphy and how we can apply it in every aspect of our lives starting from a simple portrait in your home to a big billboard in the street, since he believes that Arabic calligraphy is the corner stone of visual Arabic culture.
