Based on true events and historical figures, The Other Durant picks up where the tv series Hell on Wheels ended. It’s 1873. Broke and embattled robber baron Doc Durant summons his family home from London to rebuild their fortunes in the Adirondack wilderness where he has acquired over half mil acres. For his daughter Ella, an aspiring novelist, it means leaving her lover and a lifestyle she’s become accustomed to. And she will do anything to defy her fathers wishes.
