Shawn aka Shawnie has been a Certified Health Coach since 2017, as well as certified in Ayurveda and Yoga since 2011, educating on the science behind wellness and how to prevent and maintain your health.
In 2000, Shawn worked as a Production Assistant assisting on how to musically create songs/beats, as well as a Scout Talent, for Nijsha Music ProductionCompany.
In 2003, Shawn served on the Board of Directors as Secretary and worked as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a small non-profit entertainment organization called United We Stand Ent. for seven years.
In 2004 , became a consultant for the Founder/Executive Director of a dance company in Harlem, NY in 2004.
This also led to her assisting others in various administrative tasks, including the late Marvin Thompson, older brother of the late Jam Master Jay, the DJ for the legendary group Run DMC, helping to raise funds to present scholarships to twenty high school children throughout the United States to attend college. In addition, she assisted in minor administrative tasks for Bro. Fatiyn Muhammed, the Executive Producer and cohost of two shows: the “Openline” Show on 107.5 WBLS and “Keepin’ It Real” with Rev. Al Sharpton.
In 2020, Shawn landed her first acting role in the movie “Color Blind”, which led to a leading role in “A Chef’s Ingredients to Deception” based off a novel written by B.A. Lewis, as well as a leading role in the film “3 The Hard Way”, and a role in “Keys n Cuffs” all written, directed and produced by Michael Steven-Paul (Mikey Jay).
Shawn had also accepted a role as an Executive Producer with the AIGNE Film Group in August 2021.
