Bio

I am a Senior Vice President of Clinical Delivery for a healthcare start up organization. In my role, I lead clinical teams that focus on preventative care for the chronic kidney disease population in an effort to prevent further exacerbation of end stage renal disease .

I have been a senior executive in the healthcare arena for a little over twenty years. I am an adult nurse practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice . My expertise includes primary care, mental health and addiction medicine, occupational health, house calls, Telehealth, and health care advocacy initiatives.

I have a significant track record of building highly effective clinical teams that develop and deliver innovative ways to provide multiple levels of care to Medicare, Medicaid, Self-insured employer groups, Commercial insurance populations, as well as underserved communities.

My healthcare philosophy is rooted in the fundamental premise that everyone should have access to quality care that results in improved clinical outcomes and quality of life.

I also have a commitment to stewardship and volunteerism which has resulted in my current role as president of the AZ Board of Nursing, and currently serving on the board of directors for a school system and pediatric asthma program .

I have an entrepreneurial spirit which has allowed me to have my own house call practice and draws my interest towards innovative health care delivery concepts.

Finally, as an African American female, I have many times been the only brown face in the board room. Breaking the glass ceiling and continuing to excel as a minority in corporate American has been exhilarating and challenging at the same time. Having to consistently prove myself , protect the stealing of intellectual property, and ensuring my assertion is not misconstrued as aggressiveness is a constant struggle. I am committed to helping current and aspiring female, black executives learn how to be strategic and understand the social gracious required to win in the corporate game.
