I teach beginners the basic steps & techniques to start sewing and to build confidence. Learn the fundamentals of sewing and get the skills you need to sew whatever you want!

I love sewing and want everyone to love it too! I majored in textile and apparel design in college and didn’t know how to sew! Crazy, right?!? There wasn’t a class that taught sewing so I had to figure it out myself. It was a process of trial and lots of errors (and bad grades). But now I know what NOT to do and I want to share my expertise with everyone starting their sewing journey. 🪡🧵

Mom to fur kids Honey 🐶 and Clementine 🐱

I’m half American, half Venezuelan. I grew up overseas in Belgium and Cyprus. I love international travel, especially when it gives me the opportunity to buy unusual and exotic textiles.

I’m a fabric and pattern hoarder (thanks for getting me started Grandma). And now I find myself with 4 sewing machines (2 vintage, 2 modern) and countless boxes of fabric. Don’t get me started on my collection of patterns!

I enjoy being scared. I love all things Stephen King; Joe Hill is a close second. Halloween 🎃 will always be my favorite holiday (and not just because I get to make costumes!)
