By symbolically borrowing pop characters and images of traditional Northeast Asian culture, transforming totemism and animistic objects which are placed in playful virtual spaces with the forces of innocence and lightness, the artist clears the boundaries between civilization and barbarity, daily life and deviation, fall and salvation, and builds a gap between the demilitarized zone and the world. The artist calls it a hypothetical middle earth, and builds on modularized objects one by one based on vector images to create a grey area. This is a journey to save herself from the contradiction of life between the unconventional universe and the segmental self, and through this work, she hopes to live a "life that lies in meaning," not a "life that searches for meaning." The artist has proceeded with a number of exhibitions and collaborations in South Korea, China, and Japan, and is currently working in South Korea.
