Five years ago, prior to becoming a Pastor, Sylvia became an ordained minister and started “Begin Again” jail ministry at the Lyons, NY Wayne County jail under Flames of Fire and Good News Jail Ministry.

Ten years ago, Sylvia began “Facing the Giants in your Life” Gathering that was held annually and this.  One of the biggest giants she has had to face is breast cancer.  After a sixteen month journey of surgeries and treatments, rather than identify herself as a “survivor”, Sylvia now refers to herself as an “Overcomer”.  

Because Sylvia believes everyone was created on purpose, for a purpose, and with a purpose, she created a Facebook and Instagram page titled “Sylvia’s Selah Moments”.   The word “selah” means to pause and think about it.  Through this page, she shares content that encourages others to go after their “Life Assignment” and God given purpose.

When she's not serving or connecting with others, Sylvia and her husband are operating their companies, Ryno’s Property Maintenance and Management and Ryndock Realty, LLC where she is the managing broker with a number of agents. 

Sylvia and her husband enjoy building memories with their children, grandsons, and extended family.
