ശ്വാസം മുട്ടിച്ചീടും ദിനങ്ങള്‍
വിക്കി വിക്കി വലിക്കുന്നൂര്‍ധ്വന്‍
നഷ്ടബോധത്തിന്‍, നൈരാശ്യത്തിന്‍;
ഉറങ്ങും ഭൂതകാലമതിലങ്ങടിഞ്ഞതാ-
മഴുക്കില്‍ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടെന്‍ ചെറുപ്പിന്‍ പിടിവള്ളി ! 

അര്‍ത്ഥമങ്ങില്ലാതായി പ്രതീക്ഷയ്ക്കും
പിന്നെ ഹതാശയ്ക്കും തീര്‍ത്തു
മില്ലാത്ത താകുമെന്നങ്ങാകിലും
ഭാവിതന്‍റെ വ്യര്‍ത്ഥതയതങ്ങെന്നെ
വിവസ്ത്രനാക്കി ലജ്ജാ,നഗ്നതയതിന്‍
മേലായൊഴുക്കീയേകാന്തമായ് വിലസും
ഗര്‍ഭസ്ഥമാം ഭ്രൂണമെന്നതുപോലെ.

നീങ്ങുന്നു ഞാനിന്നിതാ വാഗ്ദത്ത
ഭൂമി തന്നിലെ ളുതാമൊരു നീക്ക
മതുമിന്നൊരു ശ്രമം,ആ ഏദന്‍ തോട്ടം
തന്നിലണയാനവിടെന്നെ പ്രലോഭിപ്പിച്ചീടാന്‍
ഇല്ലൊരു സര്‍പ്പം, ഇല്ല പങ്കുവയ്ക്കുവാനാ-
യങ്ങൗവ്വയു മഘോഷത്തിന്‍കണ്ണുനീരതുമില്ല
ഇല്ലയങ്ങവിടില്ല നേട്ടവും നഷ്ടങ്ങളും.

Suffocating days stutter, gasping
Disappointments and disillusions;
In the sediment of some slumbering past
I was losing hold of defenses.

Expectations and desperations had no meaning;
Futilities of a future, though non-existent,
Stripped me off, beyond shyness and nudity,
Made me float, a lone human fetus, suspended.

I’m now moving towards the Promised Land, an attempt
No dragon in The Garden of Eden, to tempt
And no Eve to share tears of celebration
Nothing to lose or gain, but simply in motion.
